Problem is those tons of damage come late and it has low BaB progression. Fighters consistently gain bonuses to all armor and weapon options, so they scale well in combat-focused situations.
They are mostly/entirely tested on Unfair I believe. Also might be considered for Adaptive Tactics 1/2 that would cut the penalties from fighting defensively and (more importantly) make CE more usable. All builds on this page have been generously provided with permission by InEffect.
Weirdly enough, dex dual-wielding barbarian is pretty much default option for them. Best Slayer to go for level 12 imo, as Divine Anathema would compensate for the sneak progression if you go LG. Exactly what it sounds like, this fighter ditches armor training and instead gets big bonuses when wielding a two-handed weapon. Destruction can be awesome or really bad depending on if the enemy can hit your AC or not. Greater Power attack is nice, but you can get more elsewhere.
Same deal as crusader. Most interesting for his level 1 +1DC on sneak. I ask because one of my all time favorite characters to play has always been built as a rogue (since it goes with her backstory).
Honorable mention to Wizard7/Ecc3/Theurge10 that one does get lvl9 arcane spells, and can off-load all buffs to cleric slots. not many reasons to go beyond 7. They are commonly used this way in game rating systems. Likely wants to take 4 levels of Freebooter for even more support. Main features: Flurry Of Blows, Improved Unarmed Strike, Stunning Fist, Armor Class Bonus, Ki Powers, Class skills: Athletics, Mobility, Stealth, Knowledge (World), Lore (Religion), Perception, Persuasion.
This sub-class gets fewer wild shape abilities, and instead gains enchantment and illusion spells. Good option, especially as a 4 level dip. One of those cases when every sub sacrifices something too valuable for dubious gains.
Gets UD, but there are better ways. Instead of danger sense to avoid traps, this sub-class gets damage reduction immediately, and gains resistance to fire and cold damage starting at third level.
Pure class option.

Not the best stat for MC. Oddly enough, base paladin makes a better archer than this due to mark of justice. And your pet will never scale anywhere either.
Good option for all sorts of 2handed users to ramp the damage. Or rather won't be worth it.

Monks are focused on up close combat but without any weapons or armor. Critically, this archetype loses trap finding, but rolls d8s for damage instead of d6s when using sneak attacks.
All things considered, wants to be d/w guy. The game is similar to classic RPG games such as Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

Bard is an excellent class for players who enjoy support roles but want to be a jack of all trades skill-wise.
A pure Paladin is surprisingly effective as Smite can obliterate bosses. Bad news is said guy witll be about 3-4 levels behind pure class casters and won’t have any channeling to speak of.
